The role

Reporting to the Branch manager your key responsibilities will include:

Determine work procedures, schedules and workflows ensuring load plans, manifest and documentation accuracy and compliance

Assign duties and take responsibility for ensuring compliance of all loads prior to dispatch in line with policies and procedures

Plan and coordinate all operations to ensure availability of product in loading and storage areas

Organize and coordinate all operations to ensure maximum utilization of the fleet for availability, resources, and fuel minimizing costs and wastage

Coordinate and oversee interstate line haul to ensure overall schedules are met and KPI’s are achieved in the business

Staff supervision including team meetings and briefings, resource planning, performance management and conflict resolution

Relationship management of sub-contractors, interstate partners/depots and client contacts

Responsibility for ensuring OHS policies and procedures are adhered to within the workplace and adherence to HACCP and truck safe princpals

The Person

The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate experience in a similar role within the transport and logistics industry, specifically with freight and line haul and have an excellent work ethic. Strong clear communication style is a must and the ability to develop proactive and positive working relationships. An excellent remuneration package is on offer for this exciting permanent appointment.

We are working with a global leader, assisting all the big names in the media / entertainment industry. They are looking for an experienced project manager to join their successful team.

Job Description

The successful applicant will have previous project management experience and be able to negotiate successfully with stakeholders. You will manage and coordinate various contractors and ensure deadlines are adhered to. You will be responsible for organising the consolidation of 3 warehouses into 1 and all related aspects.

The Successful Applicant

The successful applicant will have previous experience in warehouse consolidation and project management. Professional reporting skills will be required along side a confident approach. You will have a high level of organisational and time management skills and be able to understand the differing needs of the individual business units. Knowledge of SAP or Manhattan systems is required.
