Supply Chain Manager

ROLE & COMPANY:

Our prestigious client is seeking a Supply Chain Manager for their facility near Bendigo. They are a leading manufacturer of quality food products for many of the major National food supermarkets. This position is not for an average performer - it offers daily variety, technical challenges and the scope to make a direct and expected contribution to the company’s performance.

Reporting to the General Manager, this role has the accountabilities to:

Lead the Warehouse, Procurement & Planning functions of the business, with responsibility for the development of robust strategies and the implementation of sustainable processes to support the business.

This will involve controlling and improving supply chain efficiency and cost performance with specific focus on inventories, production planning, procurement and manufacturing costs.                                                                      

You will a successful and proven Supply Chain Professional and previously have worked in a high volume and fast paced manufacturing environment. The role has a number of direct and indirect reports and is a hands-on management role. It is essential you have experience working across the entire Supply Chain function within previous roles. Although the role is supported by other members of the senior management team it is an autonomous role.

KEY SKILLS:

5 years + Supply Chain Management experience

Analytical skills, IT savvy

Proven track record in change management

Strong and confident communicator

Certified in APICS Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) highly desirable

Experience with an integrated ERP system is advantageous

Warehouse Manager - Leading National Retailer

Our client is a household name and have been at the forefront of retail sales across Australia for over 100 years. With stores in all of Australia's major cities the business has been able to provide its wide ranging client base with a diverse product range that covers everything from apparel through to household equipment. The business truly values its people and believes in providing value for money with its loyal client base. Due to some internal moves and ongoing development plans the business is poised to employ a motivated Warehouse Manager to run the Melbourne operations. 

Based in Melbourne's Western Suburbs and reporting through to the General Manager this role will have ultimate responsibility for the warehouse and distribution functions and will form part of the management team. The sucessful candidate will operate at a more strategic level, with the day to day running of the warehouse to be undertaken by a Warehouse 2IC. Daily duties to be undertaken in this position will include the following:

Set and manage KPI's around warehouse and distribution activities

Manage vendor relationships with transport companies and casual labour suppliers

Arrange and manage deliveries of containers from freight forwarding agents

Maintenance of all company equipment and machinery

Developing and maintaining a strong OH&S program

Development and guidance for all staff - providing training where required

The business deals with a large number of SKU's and distributes to multiple stores on a national level so it is expected that the sucessful candidate has a strong background in FMCG and understands the many nuances of the industry. Further to this the sucessful candidate will require the following:

At least 3 -4 years experience in Warehouse Management

Strong negotiation skills with the ability to maintain vendor relationships and service levels

Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with key stakeholders

The ability to delegate and utilise human resources to their best ability

This is a key position in the business and will require a candidate with strong background in warehousing. The ability to think contingently and make the best of the ever changing landscape of retail sales is key. This role would be best suited to someone who has come from a smaller operation who is looking to take on the responsibility of a national operation. Transport Manager

Linfox is currently seeking expressions of interest from highly motivated individuals to join the Resources & Industrial Business Unit team as Transport Manager .  This role will be based in Port Hedland and primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  Achieving the Linfox and customer safety goals

  Supporting the implementation of corporate, Business Unit and site safety initiatives.

  Contributing to monthly and weekly safety reporting requirements.

  Effective management of the transport and logistics coordination throughout Port Hedland 

.  Coordination of all freight (including back freight),

.  Coordination of contractors to and from related sites and introducing innovation in processes and equipment within the contract. 

  Ensuring maximum payloads are achieved.

  Recruiting, training and developing employees. . 

  Developed negotiation and communication skills and an understanding of the relevant statutory requirements applicable to Western Australia are important aspects for this role. 

  The successful applicant will possess strong planning and analytical skills, and be both internal and external customer focused.

The successful candidate for this position will possess the following as minimum level qualifications/experience:

  Minimum 3 year experience in transport management, with resources sector experience highly valued.

  Dangerous Goods Licence and Safe Load Pass or have previously possessed same.

  Fuels and Ammonium Nitrate experience preferred however not essential

  First Aid qualifications preferred.

  Mechanical/workshop experience or trade qualifications preferred but not essential.

  Direct staff management experience including sub-contractor engagement.

  Detailed knowledge of load configurations, weights,Truck & trailer type allocation, Permits, Dangerous Goods.

  Excellent understanding of general freight operations including load restraint expertise.

  Working knowledge of relevant Australian transport rules and regulations.

  Direct personnel management experience.

  Safety qualifications (front line) or experience.

  IT system use experience i.e. Microsoft suite.

  Financial management and reporting experience (front line).

  HR & IR experience (front line.)

  Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
