Your Role:

Reporting to the Project Manager you spend the majority of your time, face to face advising clients on best practise and how to get the best out of their new, state of the art ERP system. Your experience in undergoing systems implementations and expert product knowledge will allow you to train and empower your customers so they, like tens of thousands of other customers are 100% happy with the product.

Your Background:

Ideally you will have a background in Supply Chain having undergone large systems implementations. Through this, you will understand what is important to your customers and enable you to provide expert advice on engineering the best practice processes within the system. My client is a well respected brand all over the world with exceptional experience in all aspects of logistics, freight forwarding, ocean/air/truck transportation and storage and warehousing solutions.

Reporting to the Operations Centre Manager & Managing Director, your role as the Manager of Project Logistics will include but not be limited to:

Transport and Port Analysis – Loss time reduction / Cost Saving.

Oversee and Manage Staff and all Logistics Functions.

Management of Subcontractors / Safety Auditing.

AQIS / Customs advice to the Project and to Projects Vendors

Contribute to performance management meetings with service providers and ensure that continuous improvement activities are identified and managed. Scope includes contractual, regulatory, rates and QHSE compliance of suppliers.

Liaising and networking with a range of stakeholders, e.g. customers, Colleagues, suppliers and partner organizations.

Contribution to the total effectiveness of the Company, communicating openly, solving problems proactively, offering creative ideas and working as a positive, engaged team member.

To be considered for this position you must have:

8-10 years experience in a similar role, working in the Perth market in mining/resource projects

Bachelors Degree desirable

Solid relationships with local transport/logisitics companies to assist with project requirements

Strong knowledge of marine/port operations

Strong Knowledge of required international freight documentation and procedures.

Strong managerial experience with a decisive and positive approach.

Supply Chain Manager- (3 Month Contract)

Our partner is an Australian owned business at the forefront of the manufacturingindustry.

Based in the organisations head offices in Melbourne's south eastern suburbs, this contract is currently set at 3 months, however could extend further as the role progresses. Candidates will be paid according to their level of experience and the hourly rate is wide open for the right individual. Working across the supply chain of multiple sites, this role will include a small amount of interstate travel in the early stages.

The opportunity exists for an experience Supply Chain Manager to identify, make recommendations and implement improvements to the efficiency of our client's current supply chain processes and procedures. Working in a dynamic and fast paced environment, this position requires an individual with a keen attention to detail and sound experience in identifying, designing and implementing improvements to supply chain. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role will be well suited to an individual with a strong background in senior supply chain roles involving continuous improvement and change management.

Some key responsibilities of the role include:

Identifying, designing and implementing improvements across end to end logistics and supply chain planning:

freight scheduling

supply and demand planning

S & OP

warehousing and distribution

Design and implement supply chain systems in accordance to corporate policies and processes
