Import Operations Coordinator

Location:Melbourne

Reporting to the Import and Export Operations Manager, this is a unique opportunity to join our supply team to forecast, determine, allocate and coordinate ground transport, warehousing activities and replenishment execution to productions sites, in order to efficiently and effectively run day to day operations.

The key Accountabilities of this role include:

Align production schedule with service provider operating schedule.

 

Work closely with the import ship coordinator to facilitate customs and AQIS requirements.

Conduct weekly calls with each of the service providers to support and efficiently plan/allocate labour and equipment capability to meet production requirements

Build Relationships with Local Cartage Companies

Support procurement with maintaining performance measures in line with Shipping Contracts

Attend and prepare for Monthly performance meetings with Suppliers and procurement

Prepare and implement the divisions' approaches, priorities, sequences and resource facilitation for conducting the day-to-day activities.

Complete performance reviews to record quality of customer service.

Ability to plan, organise and manage multiple projects and set priorities.

Develop and use collaborative relationships to accomplish work goals; develop individual relationships by listening, sharing ideas and appreciating others' efforts.

Import Inventory Controller

Reporting to the Import and Export Operations Manager, this is a unique opportunity to join our supply team and manage inventory levels and execute control measures to ensure stock holding is minimised whilst still high enough to allow CUB to function at optimum efficiency.

The key Accountabilities of this role include:

Develop the department's inventory management strategy with the aim of controlling costs within budgetary limits, generating savings, rationalising inventory and maximizing available working capital.

Control the raw material stock and ensure the controls and procedures are adhered to.

Maintain the department's material and stocked product inventory including stock profiles and stock locations.

Minimise overstocks and removal of obsolete / redundant raw materials to maximise availability of working capital.

Ensure that the goods inward / stock control department is well organised and controlled to sufficiently support production and the goals of the business.

Ensure materials are ready and available for production as and when required.

 Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills will ensure your continued success as will:-

Proven experience in an inventory management role preferably in packaging or commodity markets

Relevant professional qualification and/or suitable background experience in inventory management/purchasing

A detailed understanding of MRP and inventory control/management systems and ERP.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The ability to work productively, efficiently and effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality

Import Ship Coordinator

Reporting to the Import Operations Manager, this is a unique opportunity to join our supply team and place shipping orders, prepare documentation, maintain records and coordinate logistics for the shipment of product materials.

The key Accountabilities of this role include:

Preparation of documentation, maintain records, and coordinate logistics for product shipment.

Generate required reporting for Imports operations manager. 

Place bookings, quotations and agreements with international suppliers and freight forwarder.

Proactively track and monitor shipments and maintain shipment schedules.

Work with import purchasing / procurement analyst to ensure shipping schedule is aligned to operational requirements.

Schedule and coordinate both international freight forwarder transactions and domestic transportation provider.

Review and audit freight bills for billing accuracy, respond to billing questions from external freight payment services.

Build ongoing relationships with clients and internal departments.

Maintain knowledge of current international import / export regulatory requirements and update applicable standard operating procedures as necessary.

Liaise with overseas agents via email and phone.

Communicate status of shipping / receiving activities to appropriate personnel.

Communicate shipping volumes and priorities with appropriate personnel to optimise available resources. 

Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills will ensure your continued success as will:

Proven experience in a similar role, and an understanding of the legal framework around importing materials / product etc.

Experience in International freight shipping and forwarding.

Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently.

Good attention for detail with strong administration skills.

Exposure to EDI Enterprise and BSM.

Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator

Your role as Logistics and Warehouse Supervisor will see you facilitating the day to day despatch and receival of product’s, processing order as well as performing general administration, inventory control and leading a team.

• Act as the primary contact for internal and external stake holders, executing delivery and receipts in a timely manner

• Monitoring stock levels for both raw material and finished products.
