Our Client has a fantastic opportunity for an Experienced Warehouse Manager to work in a busy Warehouse & Inventory team who ensure the availability of spares and consumables are in line with work management and operational needs through effective management of inventory movements, storage, inventory levels, and quality of material.

The key responsibilities of this role are:

- Liaise with supply management and operational leadership to provide key insights on the sub-function and contribute towards effective management of inventory and warehouse operations. 

- Work with the team to ensure their respective areas deliver against plans and performance targets.

- Engage operations management and communicate warehouse and inventory management strategies and plans.

- Embed standard guidelines and procedures related to inventory optimisation, inventory movement and storage of material with particular focus on health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe operating environment.

- Ensure all materials are available for planned requirements and meet quality standards

As the successful candidate you will have: 

- Minimum 6-8 years experience in a similar role

- Experience working remote

- Ability to run the workshop autonomously

- Experience managing a team of 1-10 people

- Experience assigning or re-assigning work, interpreting policy, explaining and providing a framework for short and long term projects.

- Experience in decision-making that directly impacted your team and closely related teams.

This role is based on the Eylandt on a full time 5/2 roster working 10 hrs / day, with one long weekend home once per month ( out Thurs night back in Tues morning).

The role is an interesting mix of supply chain management and QA that also includes technical input into product specifications and process analysis/development, with a focus on new product introduction rather than ongoing operations activities.

The successful candidate will have:

Solid supply chain experience in a product development or NPI environment;

An excellent understanding of ISO9000 product quality assurance;

Familiarity with MRP based supply chain management;

A demonstrated ability to achieve continuous improvement driven outcomes;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills appropriate to taking a lead in cross functional product teams and providing guidance to the supply chain team;

A tertiary qualification in an appropriate engineering or physical sciences discipline;

Any experience in, or knowledge of, plastics, adhesives or film manufacturing processes would be a very definite advantage.

This role might appeal to someone with a quality engineering background who has additional supply chain experience, or a supply chain specialist from a relevant technical background. Also note that this is definitely a development/NPI based position, not an operations role.
