Due to internal promotion an opportunity currently exists for an experienced Team Leader who ideally possesses a strong background in a fast paced 3PL logistics environment.

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor this position will see your day-to-day responsibilities include:

Effectively leading a team of logistics personnel including Pick Packers, Forklift Drivers and other warehouse personnel as required.

Hands on operational work and assisting with supervision of operational activities including despatch, inbound and returns.

Ensure the continuity of stock movements

Take part in training and succession planning as per the needs of the business

Regular liaison with clients and representing the company in monthly meetings

Provide a professional level of communication both internally and externally

Ensure customer satisfaction and the meeting of supply agreements

Assist with the development of team moral within the branch

To be considered you will possess:

Minimum 2 years experience in a Team Leader position

Effective communication, people and customer service skills

Previous staff supervision experience

Sound working knowledge of warehouse / logistics based operations

An understanding of quality control standards

Formal logistics / transport training (preferred)

A strong level of computer literacy and competent keyboard skills

Experience with using Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan an advantage)

A strong focus on safety

Current forklift License (desirable)

Current drivers license with own vehicle
